A good day!

Today was the last Monday that the Monday Quilt Group got together for the summer.  We finished the top we were all working on.  Someone had asked Pam to organize a summer project.  Different people were busy or traveling and as long as you came, Pam put a slip of paper in a jar with your name on it.  In September, when she comes back from vacation, we will do a draw.  The more days you were there the higher the chances of you winning.  This is the completed quilt top.

We all donated a fat quarter to make up this quilt.  A fat quarter is a piece of fabric that measures approximately 18" x 22".  Other fabrics were donated too.

We then proceeded to follow Pam's directions and then everyone had a job either sewing, ironing, cutting or just talking!  ;-)

I have a good chance of winning as I went every week save one week.  It has a masculine feel to it which is nice for a change.

I came home and cooked.  A friend asked me to post pictures of it.  I was so tired that I did not take better pictures.

Chicken Korma

We usually don't put potatoes in this dish but I did this time.

Fried Rice

Masoor Dahl

This is Hyderabadi Indian food.

It's late now and Ali and I are watching a movie.  It was a good day.

Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks Lois! I hope I win too! Whomever wins, however, has to finish off the quilt! Fair enough! This is a very forgiving pattern. How are you?
