Hexagon Layout #1 and CYCLONE PHET is on it's way to our shores in Oman!

Hi! It's this box again. I turned the above box to this:

Well, I started doing this. Uki wasn't impressed with it. Darn it!

Ouch, my back! I ended up sitting on my office chair and bending over! Ouch!

A narrowed down view.

A seriously cropped view! Not sure where the 'white's' and the 'blacks' should go...

These are 566 hexagons and it wouldn't cover my thigh! I need more. A LOT MORE! Which makes me happy as I wasn't ready to be done with my hexies yet. Hexies. It's official. I LIKE the word!!

I like this layout too. It sort of takes care of the color wheel quilt I have been mulling over for a while now! Maybe I will make more blacks and outline it in black!? I have a ton of the white hexagons too that was meant to go around my flowers. Nope, I like this much, much better!

NEWS FLASH!!!: THERE IS A CYCLONE HEADING TOWARDS OMAN. IT WAS ANNOUNCED BY THE GOVERNMENT AT 2PM WHICH WAS 1.5 HOURS AGO. IT WILL BE TOUCHING OUR COAST (I LIVE ABOUT 2 MILES INLAND FROM THE BEACH) AND HEADING ON TO PAKISTAN. HIS NAME IS PHET AND I HOPE IT ISN'T AS BAD AS GONU IN 2006. KEEP WATCHING AND PRAY FOR US IN THE REGION PLEASE!!

OMG...that looks awesome Alia...I love the colours.

Hope and pray that the PHET is not going to be strong as GONU.

Yes Nima, me too! It is exciting yet very scary as I remember all too well Gonu. All the best to you and your loved ones! Stock up on water!

Those hexies look fabulous all arranged like that. We have just started hurricane season here, so I know exactly how it feels to sit and wait for a storm to hit. I hope you have all of your supplies ready.

Thanks Ladies! We are prepared and are now just waiting. The sky is still as beautiful and bright as always but it is starting to cloud over. The next three days will tell. Meanwhile; I am hexen' away!

Alia, you are in my prayers, even though I just met you through your beautiful picture on Flickr. I just started
my charm hexies and I am totally hooked!
I would love if you tried to shift your black hexies towards the top, to be placed after the dark blues, This way you have a light going to dark effect.
?
I am so excited that you are from Colombia. Hablas espanol?

Gracia Valentina. Si, hablo Espanol. Soy mas Gringo though! Son las 12:21am y estoy rendida. Me voy a acostar pronto! Los vientos estan muy fuertes. La lluvia no ha llegado a mi lado pero creo que lei que si llego a este pais!!

I like the idea of the black on top of the blue. I was thinking of putting it around as i border if I had enough!

Stay tuned. Tomorrow seems to be a worse day for us here.
