Today is a lazy day...

Today has been quite a lazy day.  I have enough food leftover from the family get together from Iftar and Dinner last night.  So, that means I don't have to cook and I welcome a little break.

My mood is off because, yet again, I have met some mean people who play mind games with my head and seek something for themselves, from me.  I loath this in humans but hey, this is not meant to be a negative post.  The realization of this feeling is just too raw right now.  Moving right along...

A few days ago if not last week while visiting my Kuwaiti blogger friends, I found this typing speed test.  I have always been an excellent typist.  I was paid for it.  I typed over 100 words a minute.  I guess 16 years away from an office has slowed me down and here is my score on this very addictive test.

I HAVE to practice now until I reach 100.  I remember doing these drills when in high school.  I was taught to type without the letters and numbers on the keypad.  Numbers do slow me down but I have always been the typist that knows when I make a mistake.  So, if you are looking for something to do while on the net, give this a try!

Thanks to Kuwaitiful, whom I have yet to meet pixel wise and to JustNoon, whom I have met, for this fun!

Tonight, Amal and I are going to see Twelve.  Ali doesn't want to see it so he will be staying home.  I need to get out!  I think I will quickly post a food post before I set the table for Iftar.  Oh, wait, I have two kids to do that!

calling loudly to the kids that are upstairs in their rooms:  'Amaaaaaallluuuuu,  Allllliiiiiii, come help your Momma!,  apuranceeeeee!!! ('hurry up' in Spanish).

Alia don't waste your time with people who don't lift you, life is too short and you are worth so much more. Plus I have realized if you entertain these people in your life and bring in that negativity then what lesson are you teaching your kids? Sorry if that's bit heavy but I just know you are worth the profound thoughts ;-) now back to washing nappies for me ... Ciao

Isra: Thank you sweetie. Lovely words for a wounded soul! I will try my best to remember this.
